After launching our rainwater collection system successfully at our Weston location, we were eager to get a similar system set-up at our Chatham office to serve our Cape Cod clients. It can be difficult to convince Cape Cod residents and visitors to embrace a cloudy, rainy day- but we are looking at it as an opportunity to conserve community water resources and also utilize a natural resource so easily available to us.

our rain catchment system
Our old rainwater collection system in Chatham could only hold a little over 300 gallons at a time. Once we began serving more clients in Cape Cod, we knew this wouldn’t be enough.
Rory, our General Manager for the Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard location, installed this 2,100 gallon tank on Stony Hill Road in Chatham that collects rain runoff from the roof of his office building. Then, he filters the water and uses it to mix our organic spray product. It’s also a plus to have water on hand for cleaning and other tasks around the office.
We are thrilled that this new 2,100 gallon tank ensures that all of our Cape Cod services will be fulfilled with filtered rain water instead of using public resources. Looking to set-up your own rainwater collection system? Here’s a great tutorial from Mother Earth News.
