Frequently Asked Questions

How long before an event should I spray for mosquitoes?

We recommend spraying a week before an event as well as the day before. Our technicians use a higher concentration of product during event sprays and apply an extra thorough treatment to provide a higher level of protection.

How do I get rid of mosquitoes for an event?

All-natural tick and mosquito control can be an effective way to get rid of mosquitoes for an event. Traditional mosquito control methods often involve the use of harsh chemicals that can be harmful to the environment and human health. In contrast, all-natural mosquito control methods use natural substances such as essential oils and bacteria that are non-toxic and safe for people and pets. These natural solutions work by repelling mosquitoes and disrupting their breeding cycles, preventing them from laying eggs and reproducing.

What is the best mosquito spray on the market

We use an EPA 25b all-natural product called Progaea TMpro. This product is exclusive to Pure Solutions and is comprised of essential oils and soap. This product kills ticks & mosquitoes on contact and provides residual protection once dry.

Is it better to spray for mosquitoes in the morning or evening?

There is not a best time of day to spray for mosquitoes. Our product takes just 30 minutes to set and may take up to 45 minutes to dry during wet conditions, the weather may have an impact on drying time but time of day will not.

Should I cut the grass before spraying for mosquitoes?

It is not necessary to cut the grass before spraying for mosquitoes because adult mosquitoes primarily rest and lay their eggs in areas with standing water, such as ponds, swamps, and other damp locations. Mosquitoes do not typically rest on tall grass, and cutting it will not significantly reduce their population. Additionally, mosquito larvae can develop in stagnant water, regardless of whether the grass around it is long or short. Therefore, focusing on eliminating standing water and using insecticides specifically designed for mosquito control are more effective measures in reducing mosquito populations, rather than cutting the grass.
