Massachusetts All-Natural Tick Control
Notorious for their ability to survive a wide range of conditions, ticks are now an unfortunate part of our daily lives, with instances of tick-borne diseases increasing year over year as tick populations grow and infest new areas.
Here in Massachusetts, we now have dog ticks, deer ticks, and even lone star ticks. These insects can spread diseases such as Lyme Disease, Babesiosis, Anaplasmosis, Tularemia, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Borrelia Mmiyamotoi, and Powassan Virus. However, with education, awareness, and Pure Solutions routine tick spray program, you can eliminate ticks in all life stages and control the tick populations on your property without using toxic chemicals.
Most ticks are active from early spring through fall, though deer ticks remain active as long as the temperature is above freezing. To kill and control tick infestations around your property you must engage in a consistent and regular tick treatment program.
Our non-toxic tick spray is proven effective with over 10 years of results across New England. Protect your family and pets against tick bites around your home, safely and naturally.
Massachusetts All-Natural Mosquito Control
Nothing ruins a beautiful day outside like a swarm of hungry mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are most active in spring through fall in Massachusetts, especially when it’s warm and damp.
As an alternative to chemical mosquito repellents, our natural mosquito spray program safely eliminates mosquito populations that pose health risks to both humans and pets, on top of being a nuisance. Even as summer winds down, Massachusetts remains at risk for viruses carried by mosquitoes.
Our effective, botanical oil mosquito solution controls the mosquito population around your home naturally, allowing you to enjoy your property without the risk of getting covered in mosquito bites. With routine all-natural mosquito treatments earlier in the season we can eliminate mosquito breeding and help reduce their numbers on your property. Start protecting yourself and your loved ones today.
Massachusetts All-Natural Deer Repellent
Deer prefer areas flush with food, and tend to stay put until food sources are depleted, including neighborhoods and properties with attractive landscaping. Pure Solutions deer repellent service lets you enjoy the beauty and safety of your backyard by providing integrated, natural deer repellent solutions that safely keep deer from feeding on plantlife on your property.
Deer feeding habits change greatly with the seasons, depending on what food resources are available, with deer often being most active on residential properties in the winter months. Our deer deterrent program evolves with the seasons to ensure constant property deer repellent and protection.
Don’t needlessly waste your investments in landscaping without having a plan to mitigate deer damage on your property. Click the buttom below for more on what our experienced team can do to protect your lawn, safely and naturally.

Frequently Asked Questions
What months are mosquitoes most active in Massachusetts?
Ticks can be active as long as temperatures are above freezing. Our regular season runs from March to December, and is fully customizable for more frequent treatments during the height of the tick and mosquito season. Ticks breed in the winter and lay eggs in the spring, so late and early season treatments are important to prevent eggs from being laid on your property.
Are the mosquitoes bad in Massachusetts?
Mosquitoes can be present in Boston, especially during the summer months. The level of mosquito activity and nuisance can vary depending on factors such as weather conditions, time of day, and proximity to bodies of water. In recent years, there have been occasional reports of mosquito-borne illnesses such as West Nile virus and Eastern equine encephalitis in Massachusetts, including in some areas around Boston. It's important to take precautions to avoid mosquito bites, such as wearing long-sleeved clothing and using insect repellent, especially during peak mosquito hours at dawn and dusk.
How often should you fertilize your lawn in Massachusetts?
Our program is structured around 5 rounds of fertilization, starting in April with treatments every 45-60 days. At Pure Solutions, we use organic slow release fertilizers complete with proper nutrients, that include microbial and beneficial organisms which are necessary to maintain a healthy soil life.
What is the average cost for lawn service in Massachusetts?
Our organic lawn care programs are priced based on serviceable area on each property and is customized based on soil test results and feedback from technicians and clients.
When should I aerate my lawn in Massachusetts?
The best time to aerate your lawn in Massachusetts is during the growing season in the fall, between mid-August and mid-October. This timing allows the grass to recover and grow before the winter sets in. Aeration can also be done in the spring, between mid-April and mid-May, before the lawn enters its peak growing season. It's important to consider the current condition of your lawn before deciding to aerate. If your lawn is suffering from drought stress, disease, or pest infestations, it may be best to wait until these issues are resolved before aerating.
Massachusetts Born, Locally Owned, Community Driven
Growing up in Massachusetts, we spent most of our time outdoors. As kids, ticks were never something we had to worry about, and mosquitoes were a nuisance but manageable. We enjoyed nature without concern of tick and mosquito-borne illnesses.
As we grew older we saw the rise of these illnesses to a level that now, not a day goes by before another story about tick or mosquito borne diseases is in the local news, and people covering themselves and their children in toxic tick and mosquito repellents.
When we started Pure Solutions in 2005, our mission was to provide protection for people and pets without the use of harsh, toxic chemicals we saw being applied in our communities. Through years of hard work, education and investigation we were able to create a green, effective and safer all-natural pest control solution. Our PROGAEA® Natural, Botanical Pest Control Products have now been used throughout New England with fantastic results, safely and naturally helping to eliminate tick and mosquito populations without harming the environment.
Seeing chemicals used on lawns by other companies, and people believing they’re needed to keep plantlife on their property healthy, we then added organic lawn care because, in reality, those traditional pesticides and chemical fertilizers do more harm to the environment than good.
We knew we needed to provide a service to our communities to help people get these chemicals off their lawns and embrace safer, natural lawn care practices. We’re proud of what we’ve built, and take pride in the fact that we have given so many customers across Massachusetts a natural alternative to tick and mosquito control, as well as organic lawn care.
